Weak trigger return? Crunchy trigger? Whoever said revolvers don't require lubrication is alarmingly misinformed. Check out how I maintain my wheelguns for minimal problems.
Bryan, I have a 642 I bought in 2022, with about 220 rounds through it. I am mechanically inclined but I don’t like tearing into things unless I have to. Would it be worth it for me to go through this lube procedure now, or should I just wait until your 4-500 round interval suggested above? I think you mentioned in the video that some of the contact points aren’t lubed from the factory.
Bryan, great video! I just lubed my new 642-1 per your video. My one request would be to not block the camera view when you’re lubing a part so I can see exactly where you apply the drop of oil. Other than that your videos are very informative and much appreciated.
Bryan,
Any differences in lubing a J-frame with an external hammer?
(60-4 3 inch and Model 38)
Thanks
John
No same principle.
Thanks!
More lube… hard to go wrong with good lube.
Thanks.
How about a similar topic for K Frames?
Absolutely. Coming soon
Very helpful. Thank you.
Any lube preference ? I generally use Lucas extreme, FP10 or Mobil 1
I Like Gunfighter Lube

Recommended lube intervals? Round count/time in grungy pocket?
I recommend lube about every 4-500rds and detail strip and cleaning. I’m having good luck with Liberty Lubricant lately.

I peel em down after I get them out of the box and apply a synthetic lube to the pivot points.

Sorry that was an early one and my camera skills were lacking. Basic rule for lube If it touches and it moves lube it.
