    Another great podcast.

Might we see a future podcast on the history of fighting shotguns?

I got a Ruger No.1 in 275 Rigby recently. I’m like DB, don’t really hunt but wanted a nice rifle if a dream African Safari ever came my way. 😎
No luck finding any 275 Rigby head stamped ammo but plenty of 7mm Mauser (7×57) which is the same, as you stated in the video. Reason I bring that up is I got a buddy going on an African hunt later this year and he was specifically told his ammo had to match the barrel marking to be legal. Oh well, not like I’m doing that anytime soon anyway.
Nice wood and the fore arm is called Alexander Henry btw. Had to look it up since I forgot too.
    Great video, thanks guys.

Thanks Seth ! There used to be some head stamped cases floating around with the old marking. If I come Across any I will let you know.

I enjoyed this guys, thanks! I grew up shooting a Stevens 72 Crackshot, and it definitely taught fire discipline. The firing pin eventually broke, but I found another to replace it at Jack First’s gun shop in Lancaster (before they fled to America). I’ve never had a centerfire single shot, but now you’ve got me thinking I should get that little falling block rimfire out of the back of the safe, and give it some attention.

Good show guys! I have no single shot rifles, but do have a single shot shotgun and using that for shooting clays keeps things interesting and honestly a bit more fun than a pump occasionally because if I’m going to get off a second shot I have to be quick.

On the rifle thing, I do find when I go to the range I thoroughly enjoy shooting my bolt guns far more than I do any semi-auto. The semi-autos are just squeeze. Squeeze again. Squeeze one more time. Blah. Those bolt guns slow things down a touch and that additional body motion that goes between shots makes you really focus on getting back to where you can put the next shot on or near the prior ones.
